Rumble Pin - The perfect product to slow down traffic
Rumble Pins offer a great alternative to standard “Speed Hump” but are considerably more cost effective approximately 1,500mm meters covered for the same cost as a standard “Road Hump”

Each stud is 22cm diameter and 4 cm high manufactured from 100% completely recycled materials and is supplied complete with fixing bolt,
Rumble pins prevent tailgating, which occurs when a second “unauthorised” vehicle follows an other vehicle thought the barrier without stopping. In most cases this would be to avoid payment. All barrier “Fail Safe” in that if the ground loop detects a signal it will raise or stop the barrier, the second vehicle simply needs to be close enough to the one in front and the barrier loop detector will recognised both as one vehicle and the barrier will remain open letting both exit with the resulted loss of revenue, inaccurate count etc.
Just slowing the traffic at one or two places (type normal speed hump) will not deter tailgating and can sometimes make it worse as slow speed allows the second vehicle to catch up to the first , “Rumples Pins” work by slowing the vehicle over a greater distance, 1,200mm in front of the ticket machine and 1,800mm to the inside of the barrier, this strong visual impact and irregular driving surface over the large area hinders the second vehicle from getting close to the front one, once the first is clear of the “Rumble Pins” I.E. thought the barrier it can accelerate away unhindered, whist the second vehicle will still have a number of rows of pins to cross slowing it down thereby increasing the gap and allowing the barrier to lower.
